We have chosen the Joomla framework and CMS for the base of most of our development projects. Joomla breaks a website down into manageable chunks that are organized into an intelligent and intuitive user interface. A Joomla website consists of templates, modules, components and plugins. Each of these elements has distinct use and architechtural guidelines. Most of the core and included components adhere to the engineering concept of MVC which makes adaptations and edits much easier on the code end. Model View Controller is a great way to code and most professional developers will adhere to these conceptual guidelines.
